So It Begins...

Our family has officially begun the lifelong dream of raising Dalmatians for their forever homes! Our newest girls are Juniper and Willow (see below). They come from Swedish lines with over 40+ champions in their bloodlines.

Dalmatians, in our honest opinion, are the best companions in the world. Dalmatians are sweet tempered, great with kids and other animals, playful yet very gentle, extremely intelligent, with an amazing sense of emotional intelligence. Dalmatians, when well bred, are the most laid back, always by your side companions.

Another wonderful aspect of Dalmatians is their size. Dalmatians range 40-65 lbs. They make a great watch/guard dog due to size intimidation but they aren't so big that they are hard to handle like the larger breeds. Little insider secret ... they feel like petting velvet, hardly shed, and never smell due to their thin coat.

Another little known fact of Dalmatians is that they are very vocal. They have a range of 15-20 different barks depending on the situation. There is the deep, intimidating bark to warn of intruders. There is the playful "come play with me" bark. Euan, pictured below, even has a bark to notify us when his German Shepherd brother is misbehaving and we should come inspect.

Euan, pictured above at 6 months of age, is the sweetest and silliest dog ever. He has such a quirky, well behaved, fun personality! Euan's favorite thing to do is sit in our outside chairs like a human. He is soooo good with our children. The kids will lay snugging with him for hours. Our cat loves to play with him. We taught Euan the basic commands (sit, down, stay) in an hour session. Euan is so well trained that when you reach to pet him he immediately sits down. That's right ... that's how smart Dalmatians are.

In a nut shell, we hope to provide the world with high quality, wonderful companions who will make the experience of having a dog the best experience, pet wise, of their lives. Essentially to give to others the amazing experience we had. Dalmatians make the best companions hands down. We want to raise dogs who are healthy and well trained with wonderful dispositions. If they end up like their parents, that won't be hard to accomplish.
